I'm Rubber, You're Glue

If you haven't already, do check out the loud booing of my Edwards vs. Cheney column in AmSpec's Reader Mail. My favorite email, though, didn't make the cut; it was from Jim Nelson of New York, NY who speculated that "maybe it's that Tabin is a closet homosexual and his reaction is to erotic [sic] rather than substance."

No sir, I must protest: it is you who are a big stupid gay-head.

Those people were sure angry with you, John! A bit too angry, in my opinion. It was as if you told them there was no Santa Claus! Wishing for something won`t make it true, no matter how hard one wishes. These people need to look reality squarely in the face. I wanted a Cheney blow out, too, but I have to admit it didn`t happen. You are right and these people are wrong.

It does no good to lie to yourself. If you do that often enough you end up being a Democrat.

Ha! I feel like I should send you a sympathy card. Usually I'm the sellout conservative getting spanked over at the Spectator for failing to fall to my knees every time Bush or Cheney speaks a single quivering word. Glad to have you aboard, and damn the torpedoes!
