Dhaka Blues

My AmSpec column today deals with how democracy, even in a less-than-robust form, will help Bangladesh (and by extention other Muslim countries) deal with Islamist terror.

(The title of this post is a reference to a song title. If you can name it, I'll be impressed.)

The article makes good points. I wish more people realized that even a Demcoracy that doesn't fucntion well has a decent chance of fighting Islamic militancy for the reason that the average person can clearly see which form of government is best.

Oh, "Dachau Blues" by Captain Beefheart. I never listen to that album, hence the memory lapse.
